Please, read carefully text bellow in which you will find all information you will need about this year´s Croatia open – first 5 day Croatian orienteering event ever!
PLEASE, CHECK ALL LISTS AND CORRECT DATA IN CASE IF SOMETHING IS WRONG ON orienteeringonline.net (for ex. You don´t need bus transport but you have marked it).
Finaly, today we have publish long avaited technical bulletin. Please, We kindly ask all of team leaders that they check out this bulletin. We try to make it as small as possible. HERE is the link for bulletin, HERE you can find list of persons booked for sport hall, HERE is list of competitors pre-booked for camping in tents near school in Gerovo and HERE is a list for campers.
PLEASE; SPORT HALL ACCOMMODATION IS CLOSED. Do not make anymore booking for it. We will unmark you. List of unmarked persons is HERE. Other accommodation is listed on pages for Croatia open soo we kindly ask you that you look for other accommodation there. In bulletin you will also find detailed map of Gerovo which you may print and use for navigation. Precise positions of stages are marked on Google maps and can be found HERE and there you can find GPS coordinates in case if you need it for navigation.
This year we will also provide you organized bus transport from sport hall in Gerovo to all stages. List of pre-booked competitors is HERE. For all competitors who will use our accommodation we will ensure acreditations which you need to carry with you. Time of arrival and departures of bus can be found in bulletin.
Parking for Croatia open is free for all stages and near school in Gerovo. First day parking place will be 500 m from finish arena. Route from parking to finish will be marked with yellow stripes. Parking will not be ensured for second stage in Opatija. You are obligated to find parking on your own (note that most of parking places are not free soo you will need to pay parking fee).
As for payment, If you are not marked 10 days after you have paid – let us know by e-mail. All of you who didn´t made payment can do that in cash (Euro) in competition centre or in finish area upon you arrival in Croatia.
Team leaders are obligated to take their club documentation for Croatia open which will be given from organizeer. Documents will be placed in bags with club name and will be given after you made payment. If you made payment in advance, you will also need to take your club bag.
Among others, control descriptions will be in club bags (aditional control descriptions will not be available in start corridor) for all 5 stages.
We have prepared quite rich amusement programme... After second stage we invite you to stay at finish area at Orienteering beach party on beach Tomaševac with our host caffe bar del Maar. In Gerovo We managed to organize You free entry in disco bar La Mirage every day during Croatia open (check out in programme) and in Friday there will be concert of famous Croatian dance group KARMA. We hope that especially Czech and Slovak competitors will enjoy in concert ;-). Ticket for Karma concert will be 10 Euro per person.
Prize giving ceromny will be devided in two parts. First will be in Opatija. There we will make gift ceremony for three best competitors on second stage soo please, don´t go away after you finish the race. Second part will be final prize-giving ceremony in finish area in Lividraga. We have prepared you nice medals and many surprises...
We will do our best to provide you food facilities near finish areas for all 5 stages. Also, there will be possible to order many meals in Del mar in Opatija (in centre of finish area).
We will also provide local products and souvenir shops in finish area. We have also ordered T-shirts with
Croatia open theme. Look of T-shirt can be found in bulletin.
